“ Milestone anniversary, birthday, surprise a partner, mark the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. There are many reasons why couples like to renew their vows. It is a beautiful experience to watch two people re-affirming their love for one another. Claddagh rings and traditional handfasting ceremony are popular for vow renewals. Couples often write a paragraph or two to one another, sometimes they will exchange their original vows or completely new ones. ”
“ My role is to craft a beautiful bespoke ceremony and to pay tribute to your loved one. This can include non-religion, semi-religion, spiritual or a celebration of a life lived. I will visit your home, funeral home or wherever you feel most comfortable. We will chat about the deceased for as long as you wish, you can advise me on what you wish to include or avoid. I can help you choose readings, poems and music if you so wish. I will then go away and craft a beautiful bespoke ceremony and send you a draft copy to approved. On the day of the funeral I will conduct the ceremony which will truly reflect what you and your loved one would want. I can do the complete ceremony or if you wish someone to do a reading or the eulogy, I can guide them along. ”
“ I am an ethical celebrant, trained by the I.I.O.C. At this time, we do not have solemnising status, hopefully this will change going forward. At present the legal side of marriage is carried out by the H.S.E. Here is the hyperlink to the H.S.E. website, where all the necessary information is provided. https://www2.hse.ie/services/births-deaths-and-marriages/how-to-get-married-in-ireland/how-to-get-married-in-ireland.html This may seem daunting but truly it is quite a simple process, I can help to advise you through it. ”
